Southern California Outpatient Services For Lifelong Recovery

Your Recovery Journey
Starts Here

At our San Diego outpatient rehab, we strive to provide holistic and cutting-edge treatment modalities for substance use disorders and mental health issues based on the patient’s individual needs. Our tailored treatment plans combine the leading modalities in rehabilitative care with an integrative approach that helps patients adopt healthier habits after or outside of Residential Treatment Programs.

Psyclarity’s experienced and compassionate clinical care staff at our Outpatient Treatment Center provide patients suffering from substance abuse or mental health conditions with treatment options that work around the responsibilities of work, school, or family. Our patients undergo several hours of therapy, including Individual or Group Therapy, and return home in the evening to be with family and sleep in their own beds.

If you’re struggling with drug or alcohol dependence or mental health issues, don’t delay.

Take the first step in recovery and get help in a safe, supportive environment with Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Programs at Psyclarity.

What is the Difference Between
An Outpatient Program & Intensive Outpatient Programs?

Outpatient Programs are mental health or addiction recovery programs that allow patients to address substance abuse or mental health while maintaining daily responsibilities like work, school, or family care.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a more in-depth alternative to Inpatient Services and provides a higher level of care. Our IOP treatment is designed to provide cutting-edge modalities on a schedule that adapts to the needs of the patients.

Individualized care and support includes multiple therapeutic modalities, such as Group Therapy, Family Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in flexible programs designed around the patient.

What the Intensive Outpatient Program
Looks Like at Psyclarity

Addiction treatment isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution to recovery. We provide tailored mental health and substance abuse treatment with expert clinical care staff and peer support systems to meet patients where they are.

Every patient entering our facility receives a comprehensive assessment from a case worker to develop an individualized treatment program that addresses their specific needs.

This integrative approach may include numerous evidence-based and innovative therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy, and Family Therapy with expert staff.

Over the course of 8 to 12 weeks, each patient works through their specific treatment plan to develop boundaries, find support systems, and prevent relapse. Group Therapy, Private Sessions, and other therapies tackle all the challenges of addiction and sober living over the course of three to five hours.

Whether a patient is suffering from alcohol and drug addiction, mental health disorders, or a combination of conditions, we have the skills to help them overcome the physical and mental challenges and approach true well-being. With structure and support, compassionate care, and case management, we can help patients build a solid foundation for healing.

After IOP is complete, patients can enter an aftercare plan to continue working toward a healthier mindset and resolve while reintegrating into daily life. Each aftercare plan is based on the patient’s goals and challenges.

FAQ: Outpatient Treatment

Have questions about outpatient treatment? We can help you navigate this new chapter in your life.

Do I Need to Go to Inpatient Before Outpatient Treatment?

No recovery journey is the same. Some individuals benefit from admission to an inpatient treatment program prior to outpatient, and some go directly to outpatient. Your care team will evaluate your situation upon admission and determine the best care plan for your unique needs.

Are There Sober Living Options While in Outpatient?

Yes. If returning home to live independently is not conducive to your recovery journey, sober housing may be the best option for you.

Sober living, also known as supportive living, is a recovery-centric environment designed specifically for those recovering from addictions or other mental health conditions. When you live in a supportive living community while in outpatient treatment in San Diego, you will share a space with others that are equally as focused on their recovery goals. While in supportive living, you will learn additional life skills that will prepare you for the transition into living outside of a recovery environment.

The amount of time you spend in recovery has a direct impact on your success. Speak with a member of our team to discuss supportive living options.

What About My Obligations Outside of Recovery? Will I Be Able to Keep My Job?

Outpatient treatment programs allow you to immerse yourself in your therapy sessions during the day and return to your responsibilities in the evenings. Many people in intensive outpatient programs are able to work, attend school, and meet their familial obligations all while in active recovery.

What’s The Next Step After Outpatient?

After you have finished your outpatient program, you will be ready to make the transition to remote care or aftercare. This next phase in your recovery journey provides continued support as you prepare to re-enter life outside of a treatment facility.

What Happens if You Relapse in Outpatient?

If you find yourself actively using or returning to past negative behaviors, it is vital that you speak with your care team as soon as possible. Together, we can determine what the best next steps are for you and help you get back on track.

Remember: relapsing while in outpatient care doesn’t mean you have failed. It means you need additional support. We’re here to make sure you have the coping skills, tools, and resources you need to stay committed to your recovery.

How Long Do I Need to Stay in an Outpatient Treatment Program?

There is no black-and-white when it comes to recovery. Your care team will create a plan that is customized to meet your individual needs. Some people stay in outpatient programs for weeks, while others may need to be in outpatient care for an extended period. Everyone’s recovery timeline is different.

Your care team will carefully evaluate your progress throughout your recovery to determine how long you will need to remain in outpatient before transitioning to aftercare.

Will My Rehab Program Be Covered By My Health Insurance?

Most health care plans  cover admission into a detox center. Our admissions specialized will confirm your eligibility with your insurance provider.

When Will I Be Ready to Transition to Outpatient Care?

With close guidance from our team of clinicians, you will transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment when it is safe for you to do so. You will not be advanced to the next level of care before you are ready. If you have questions about your treatment plan, speak to your care team.

If you or a loved one need substance abuse disorder treatment services, call and speak with a member of our team. Our recovery center is here for you every step of the way from detox to relapse prevention.
