DR MATTHEW DONLAN
CHIEF CLINICAL ADVISOR

For the past 15 years, Dr. Matthew Donlan has dedicated his career to the behavioral healthcare industry, working his way up from an addiction counselor to key leadership roles in numerous treatment facilities. Struggling with the same addiction issues that plagued his family when he was young, Donlan realized his passion for helping others and, as a result, pursued a career in behavioral health. His insights and experience present a broad perspective that enlightens and empowers people to embrace healing and transform their lives. Before joining the Psyclarity Health family in 2021, Donlan worked as the Chief Executive Officer at the Addiction Treatment Center of New England, helping shape the future of Medication-Assisted Treatment in behavioral healthcare. As the Chief Clinical Advisor at Psyclarity Health, Donlan guides the organization’s clinical component, ensuring each patient is provided individualized, high quality care.

Dr. Donlan is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance abuse disorders with extensive experience leading initiatives in integrated care, patient-centered modalities, and the development of an evidence-based curriculum focusing on co occurring disorders. Matthew also has experience in working with many populations including tribal communities, military service members, union employees, families, and adults as a clinician, executive, and consultant. Donlan is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Doctor of Behavioral Health with specialties in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma-informed Care, and also holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Florida Institute of Technology. When he’s not working hard toward clinical excellence, Dr. Donlan enjoys spending quality time with his wife Shayla and their Great Dane, Larry.
